DOWNEY, Cecelia B. "Ceil" (Rogers) Of Acton and East Dennis, MA, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, with both of her daughters holding her hand. Born on February 10, 1942, in Boston, MA, to Astrid and Irving Rogers of Weymouth, Ceil entered the world with a spark that never dimmed. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and by the love of her life, her husband of 35 years, Richard "Dick" Downey. Their marriage was a true partnership: rooted in faith, respect, laughter, and unwavering devotion. After Dick's passing in 2003, Ceil carried herself with extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace. She continued to love him devotedly for the rest of her life. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM, on Tuesday, November 25, at Our Lady of the Cape, in Brewster, MA.
