CECILE C. FINNERTY

FINNERTY, Cecile C. (Cote) 92 years, of Falmouth, formerly of Waban and Stuart, FL, died on May 9, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Edmund F. "Ted" Finnerty, MD. Loving mother of Richard E. Finnerty and his wife, Wendy of Lincoln, Susan L. Fessenden and her husband, Frederick James of Auburndale, Lisa Finnerty Langston and her husband, John Langston, DDS of Cataumet, Deborah F. Knowlton and her husband, William of Boston and the late Carolyn F. Csanadi and her husband, Robert of Weston, VT. Devoted grandmother of Pamela and Andrew Martin, Richard and Edmund Finnerty, F. James and Elizabeth Fessenden IV, Nicholas Fessenden, Christopher and Katherine Finnerty, Robert, Samuel and Lena Finnerty, Peter, Hope and Hannah Knowlton. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Cecile was born and raised in Berlin, NH, graduating from the Dana Hall School and Wellesley College. Married in 1942, Cecile spent the war years in Berlin while Ted served as a Navy physician in the pacific. After the war and the completion of Ted's medical studies, they settled in Waban to raise their family. Cecile's greatest joy was her family, her church and their many friends. She and Ted enjoyed travelling and were fortunate to travel the world as Ted presided over the annual medical meetings of the North American Clinical Dermatological Society of which he was a founder. She was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Church, Waban, the Museum of Fine Arts, Braeburn Country Club, the Woods Hole Golf Club, Bowerman's Beach Club and attendee of Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts.
