I recently learned of Charlie's passing, my sympathy to the entire family. I worked in the 80s/90s at HBM/Arnold with Charlie. He did my table numbers for my wedding in 1992. May he rest in peace.

Marcia and family, so very sad to hear of Charlie's passing from a mutual friend. The Hoars were always great friends to our family and part of the hockey heyday back in the 70s. Charlie always had a smile on his face and an encouraging word for all the kids he coached. I know I speak for many when I say Charlie was a great man, father, husband and coach, but above all, he was a truly great friend to all that knew him. RIP Charlie!

My deepest sympathy to Marsha and Michael and all the family. Charley coached me playing for the Scituate Gulls in the 70s and he was always there with encouragement and a smile... Charley gave me a chance to play and believed in me. His confidence in me meant the world... Very grateful to him and I'll never forget it. R.I.P. Coach Charley

He was a gifted artist! As such he illustrated a children's story, titled Vanessa! The story takes place in Martha's Vineyard!
There are many memories of him; this one stands out! He had a leather Air Force bomber jacket. I always admired it! He was loving and giving! One day as I commented on the jacket, as I always did, he gave it to me! Whenever I wore it, I felt invincible!
As I think about him, the bomber jacket, my feeling of invinsibility, it saddens me that same invinsibility that enveloped me could not protect him from the illness that took his life!
I will miss running into you on the streets of Boston as we sometimes did! It was always a suprise, a pleasure, a happy moment! I am not alone; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him! Thank you, Cousin Charlie!
