Uncle Bob was also my Godfather. He was always supportive and kind. When he and the whole family surprised me by bringing my Mom to the Navy OCS graduation in Newport I was so touched. That's how I remember him, working quietly behind the scenes to make other people's lives better. But when you drew him out, he had a "wicked" sense of humor, even by Boston standards!
