CHRISTOPHER KIRBY Obituary
51, of Haverhill passed away November 6, 2012 at his home. Chris was born in Beverly on July 1, 1961 to William and Mary (Harkins) Kirby. He was the beloved dad of Brendan and Caroline Kirby of North Andover, loving uncle of Amanda Colwell of Quincy, MA and brother of Robert Kirby of Newburyport. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday 10:30 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Newburyport with a burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends may call also on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Twomey - LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, NEWBURYPORT, MA 01950. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to St. John's Preparatory School, In Memory of Christopher Kirby, 72 Spring Street, Danvers, MA 01923. To leave online condolences please visit

When I was a student at the Prep, there were several "brethren" that you looked forward to seeing at school everyday, and Chris Kirby was one of those people for me. He always had a great attitude, was friendly to all, and could always make us laugh. I just recently learned of his passing (via the Prep newsletter) and it really struck me. He was a really great guy. His children should be very proud that Chris was their Dad. He will be sorely missed by all.
To the family and friends of Chris Kirby, may I offer these words of comfort: “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.” Keep Christopher close to your heart, and he will always be near.
