Green Harbor produced many outstanding athletes -- Jack Daly, Jackie Mulhern, Gussie Sullivan, Sonny Hailer, Arthur Ross, Jr and others. But, the most talented of them all was Claire Hailer. She was always the first chosen in any pick-up game on Green Harbor beach no matter the sport -- also, a terrific natural golfer at the Marshfield Country Club as a teenager. In addition, and more noteworthy, Claire was a woman of grace, integrity, and principles. It was my good fortune to have been her friend for almost ninety years. Our best wishes to Dick and the family. Claire cannot be replaced in your lives but her memories will sustain and comfort you. Love, strength and peace, John Linnehan, Gainesville, Florida.

Dick and family,
Margo and I are deeply saddened to learn of Clare's passing. She was ever gracious, warm and shared her wonderfully 'understated' sense of humor and sense of curiosity about all things and people. A wonderful wife, friend, mother, grandmother ~ a superb person, memories of whom will stay with us. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
