HOEY, Clifton G. "Cliff" Age 81 of Yarmouth, MA, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2021 after a long illness. He was the beloved son of the late Clara and Clifton G. Hoey, Sr. of Arlington, MA.

A graduate of Matignon HS and Boston College, Class of 1961, Cliff worked in the insurance industry as a commercial underwriter before retiring from MWRA in 2001. After living in Arlington for his first 62 years, he retired to the Cape where he enjoyed woodworking, reading, building his vast book collection and spending time with his constant furry companion, Tara.

Cliff had a deep love for his family and friends and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret "Margie"; his children, Patti (Greg) MacDonald of NH and John (Jocelyn) of WA; his grandchildren Hannah of CA, Erin of MA and Andrew of TX; his brother Richard of MA and his late sister Barbara (Bob) Nellson; his in-laws John & Mary Ann Dooley, Eugene Thayer, Bill & Martha Dooley, Caryl Dooley, Jane & Dan Zailskas as well as his late in-laws, Anna Mary & Walter Stewart, Cathy Thayer and Jim Dooley; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Morris O'Connor Chapel, 58 Long Pond Drive., YARMOUTH on Wednesday, July 21 at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St., S. Yarmouth at 11:00 am. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 20 from 4-7 pm.

Burial will be private.

Dear Margie and family. I am so sorry to hear of Cliff´s passing. We all have such great memories of Woodbrook . Good times when we were younger!!!!! Please accept my condolences to a great family . Margie, Cliff will always be in your heart. love Mary Daley.
