Clifton Keane Obituary

Of Winchester, passed away on April 25, 2003. Beloved husband of the late Bernice (O'Donoghue) Keane. Loving father of Dennis M. of NY, Jacquelyn (Keane) Keller of CA and Ronald C. of Winchester. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-granchildren. Funeral from the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER, on Saturday, May 3 at 8AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Winchester at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery. Late Sports Writer for over 36 years with the Boston Globe. Late radio sports show host of the Clif & Claf show. I really thought highly of Cliff both as a talk show host and friend. I hired Cliff when I was managing WMEX and put the Clff&Claf

show on the air. We had so many laughs together for several years.

To all friends and colleagues of Mr. Keane. A legend has passed. Never met Mr. Keane but felt like I knew him personnaly via his column and radio program. Along with Larry Claflin, "Clif" was a straight shooter. Classic description for Clif was telling his callers they were "bush" when he didn't like them. Great radio on the old WMEX 1510.
