DiVIRGILIO, Dante Of Dedham, April 19, 2025. Beloved husband of the late DuVerne (Dunn) DiVirgilio. Devoted father of Donna DiVirgilio and Darryl DiVirgilio. Step-father of DuVerne Sullivan. Grandfather of Heather Johnson and Shandi DiVirgilio. Great-grandfather of Calliope DiVirgilio. Brother of Carmen DiVirgilio, Emidio DiVirgilio, Jr. and Anna Boch. Brother-in-law of Rich Boch. Dante also leaves behind his extended family in Villafonsina, Abruzzi, Italy. Dante immigrated to the United States from Abruzzi, Italy in 1956 and became a U.S. Citizen in 1969. He started his working career as a cook and then became an award winning salesman in the car industry and most recently, sold swimming pools. In his earlier years, he was active in Karate and obtained his black belt. Dante's love for his homeland brought him back to visit his family and friends in Villafonsina, Abruzzi, Italy 49 times. Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, on Friday, April 25, from 10-11am, followed by a Service in the funeral home at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
