DAVID CUNEO Obituary
49, passed from this life on Wednesday, January Ninth, 2013. He grew up in Harvard, MA and graduated from the Bromfield School in 1983. He was employed at Elevations Inc., Shrewsbury, MA. David was a talented, well-known musician in the Worcester area and played in many venues in Boston, Worcester, as well as Europe. He played for many years with his two brothers and their two close friends. David was passionate about music and the arts but is most cherished for his peaceful, humble spirit and total generosity towards his fellow human beings and animals. David leaves his loving parents, Ann and Paul Cuneo of Harvard, MA, a brother, Michael of Harvard, MA and Chris of Bolton, MA and their families, sisters, Paula Cuneo of Seattle, WA and Ellen Gibson of Newport Coast, CA. David also leaves his loving former wife, Patricia Brown, and her son, Mark Brown of Worcester, MA. David will be missed by countless friends and fans. Calling hours to be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., LITTLETON, MA 01460 on Monday, January 14th from 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at the Holy Trinity Church, located at 15 Still River Road, Route 110, Still River, MA, on Tuesday, January 15th at 10 AM.

My heart skipped when I saw this online, sweet, sweet David, such a kind and warm soul. To the Cuneo family, my heart broke when I went to find David to say hello after all these years and instead read of his passing. I loved him very much and I have always kept him in my heart. Sincere condolences to the Cuneo family, though several months have passed since David's passing. Growing up in the neighborhood with Dave and family was always exciting, and I remember many summer days as little kids playing in the orchard - neighborhood mob. Rest in peace David. Corinne

OH LORD HELP MY WORDS TO BE GRACIOUS AND TENDER TODAY....
As a kid growing up in Harvard, i think i spent more time living at the Cuneo house than i did my own. The entire family was integral in forming me into the person that i am now. I cant thank you all enough for that. David...your kindness and gentle presence will continue on in all ways. I'm sorry i got us in trouble for trying to put Ellen and Braer into the fridge; Ann was most upset with us for weeks....
Mike...as a brother you have always been to me, and though years and distance spread between us, you always will be.
To the entire family...thank you for sharing yourselves and David with us all. The world is a far better place because of all of you.

I remember when my family first moved to Harvard many moons ago we would hear drumming in the afternoon coming from down the street somewere and we would just listen happily to the music. Sometime later I met Dave, the drummer and a really nice guy. I haven't seen him in many years and am so sad to hear he's gone. We are shocked and deeply saddened at David's sudden passing. A kinder, more tender-hearted soul never lived, but then, everyone who knew him knew that. Our hearts go out to the Cuneo family. We can't imagine your pain, but hope you can take some solace knowing that he is finally at peace; no one deserves it more than David's gentle soul. We hope David's memory can comfort you thru the painful days to come, and the joy his music gave him reminds you of his happier times.
Dave always thought about everyone else before himself, putting himself in your shoes before stepping into his own. The last few years he was a welcome presence around the office, sharing an early morning cup o' joe, never too busy to say hi, always offering to help, always interested in your news… I'll remember his kind heart everyday…and miss it.

David and I grew up together. We terrorized E. Bare hill rd. and explored the world that surrounded us as a team. The images of our past lives together as a team and as friends will not fade. I am going to miss you David. I still have the Hendrix picture you made for me. It hangs in my bedroom on the wall at the foot of the bed.

Dave embodied rock and roll guitar and I am honored to have gotten to play music with him.He was a good soul, very thoughtful.He knew I was a fan of the '60's band Cream ,and one day at a flea market ,he scooped up a bunch of old Cream 45s and gave them to me.
I can picture the angels in Heaven telling Dave right now "Dave,can you turn down the volume on that guitar just a little???"

Dave was one of the most talented, self-made, guitarists I ever met. We shared a mutual love for the musical style of the Rolling Stones. I am deeply saddened by the fact that we will never have the opportunity to go into the studio, which was planned for sometime in 2013, to create our own music. Although my heart is saddened, I know that Dave is in a better place now sharing his kind spirit with others. I will miss him deeply.

Much, much sympathy to the Cuneo family. I recall, sunny days, as youngsters, playing with Dave and Mike in their yard until we were exhausted. Then piling into the upstairs rumble room where Mrs Cuneo served up sandwiches, chips and drinks until we were about the happiest little campers you could imagine. Life was simple, life was good. Rest in peace Dave.

To the Cuneo family I am so sorry for your loss. I have not seen David or Michael in over 30 years but this sad news brought back vivid memories of some great times. At such a young age it was very obvious to me that his talent and passion for music was a relevant necessity in his life. I mentioned to Kit today that if we were in high school in today's world so many of us would have been appreciated differently for our talent, imaginations and unconventional ways. His kindness and gentle spirit did not go unnoticed.
