DAVID DICICCO Obituary

DiCICCO, Attorney David R. Age 62, of Wilmington, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully with his loving family at his side on January 31, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer. David was born in Brockton, MA on July 1, 1954; he was the cherished son of the late Valentino and Lola (Castelluzzi) DiCicco. David was raised and educated in Brockton; he graduated in the top of his class from Brockton High School in 1972. Following high school, David went on to further his education at the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Veterinarian Medicine and where he met the love of his life Carol Jaques. David returned to the Boston area and attended Suffolk University Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in Law in 1982. David worked as an attorney for the Home Insurance Company before forming his own partnership which lasted for 20 years. Two years ago, David opened his own firm. A Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney, he continued to show a strong work ethic throughout his illness and always catered to his clients. David had an impeccable reputation and received immense satisfaction from helping his clients. David and Carol moved to Wilmington in 1988 and married in 1991. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Dawn and Kelly; they were the light of his life. David cherished his role as a dad and showered his girls with unconditional love and support. In his spare time David enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, watching the Patriots and always looked forward to golfing with Dan. He also coached a number of soccer and softball teams in Wilmington. David will be remembered as a very kind and generous man who loved his family and friends with all his heart. He will be greatly missed. David was the beloved husband of Carol Jaques of Wilmington; devoted father of Dawn and Kelly DiCicco, both of New York City; dear brother of Paul and Helen DiCicco of Lake City, FL and Anne DiCicco of South Easton, MA; brother-in-law of Diane Jaques of Concord, MA; and loving uncle of Ryan, Elizabeth, Rose, Michelle, Kristen and Jennifer. David is also survived by many dear friends. Visiting Hours: Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, February 4th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Dorothy's Church, Main St. (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Heartfelt sympathies to you,Carol,Dawn and Kelly and to my cousins, Ann,Paul and Helen.I was so sorry to hear the news of David's passing.I truly believe that my dear aunt and uncle,Lola and Val, are at his side watching over him. Many fond memories of our time with the family when we were young are so special.I especially remember how Auntie Lola was so worried about David because he was so skinny and a picky eater when he was little!!!i think she probably worried for nothing!!!!Hoping,as time goes on,your memories of David will bring only smiles to your faces. Love to all,

Richard Allen

My sincere condolences to the DiCicco family.
I lived in the old neighborhood . Unfortunately I lost contact with Dave over the years. Whenever I reminisced of those early years Dave always comes to mind. I might add one heck of a guitarist.
So sad to have lost him. So happy to have known him. God bless you Dave.
Respectfully, Richard (Dickie) Allen
