David Feinstein Obituary

FEINSTEIN, David Of Canton, formerly of Hull, entered into rest on Dec. 26, 2010. Beloved husband of Yvette (Goodfader) Feinstein. Loving father of Paula Manburg and her husband William of Stoughton. Cherished grandfather of Sarah and Lauren. Devoted brother of the late Edward Feinstein. Dear brother-in-law of Muriel Goodfader and the late Dr.Samuel Goodfader, and dear uncle of Emily, Meryl, Joel, and Marlene. Mr. Feinstein graduated Boston University School of Business Administration and Boston University School of Law. He was a WWII veteran and graduate of the Army Finance School. Atty. Feinstein was a member of the Mass. Bar Association since 1937 and a member of the Plymouth County Bar Association. He was an active member of the Hull town government as Town Counsel, Director of Veterans Services, Finance Committee Member, Advisory Board Member, and Chairman of the Retirement Board. His distinguished career included Past President of the Hull B'nai B'rith Lodge where he received the Man of the Year award in 1971. Director of the Hull Co-op Bank, Past President of Temple Beth Shalom of Hull, Past President of the Moses Mendelssohn Lodge of Boston, where he received the Joseph Warren Medal for Distinguished Service, Past President of the Hingham Rotary Club where he was honored with the Paul Harris Medal for Distinguished Service, member of the Zerubbabel Lodge, Treasurer of the Nantascot Lodge, and member of the Aleppo Temple. For many years he was Chairman of the Wrentham State Hospital Christmas Party for Special Children. In 1965 he was appointed Special Assistant Attorney General under Edward McCormack and Francis Bellotti. In 1972 he was appointed by Governor Francis Sargent as a Special Justice of the District Court of Plymouth. Services will be held for Mr. Feinstein at Schlossberg-Solomon Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington Street, CANTON, on Wednesday, Dec. 29th at 10:00am. Interment will be at Lindwood Memorial Park, Randolph. Memorial Observance will be at his late residence, Orchard Cove, 1 Del Pond Drive, Canton from 12-3 pm and 7-9 pm.
