This man will truly live forever. He is my Uncle one of the funniest man I have ever knew. I've never seen him very serious and even when he was you could just tell a joke was brewing in his head. Many blessings and Rest In Peace my Dear Uncle.

My Uncle David was indeed a great inspiration in my life. He always carried that big smile, a tender heart and an unlimited volume of wisdom. I will miss him but I am so glad he passed this way! I will never forget his humor and his laughter that just seemed to make the world a better place. As I and my family prepare to make the drive to Boston, a smile came over my face. I remember in 1990, my uncle David and some others were in Camden Alabama for the funeral of my Grandfather. We had to go to the Mason Lodge were my Grandfather presided in the Temple to get chairs for the funeral. We climbed the long tiers of steps to get those folding chairs for the funeral. My Uncle David pushed a door open so it would not close as we carried the chairs out.. The floor was uneven, so when Uncle David pushed the door it was stuck in place. While we were gathering chairs and loading them on the truck we were almost finished. While in the big assembly room getting the last of the chairs, my Uncle David, cousins and myself heard that door my uncle had pushed and secured slam with a doom that you could not believe. Just then I saw my Uncle ran like a ghost was chasing him. I had never seen a grown man run so fast in my whole life. So, we dropped our chairs and ran to, out the door and down the stairs behind him . When we got to the truck we asked Uncle David why he was running like that? He looked at us catching his breathe and said; "when that door closed like that for no reason at all, it must have been my father telling us to get out of that Mason Hall" We asked Uncle David how about the rest of the chairs in the building? And this is the part that put the smile on my face. Uncle David said I don't give a damn about those chairs they sit on the floor of the church I am not going back in that building. LOL I'm going to miss him really I am. Lord please grant to his family, wife and children strength for this journey. Rest in Peace Uncle David. We love you with an eternal hope in Glory. We will meet again!!

I worked with Davey at Ashmont Station. When I'd asked him what he was doing (for work) he always said that he was, "Waiting for his ship to come in". He was a gentle giant and a gentleman.
