DAVID J. MENDES

MENDES, David J. David J. Mendes, of Braintree, passed away surrounded by loving family on January 29, 2018. Born and raised in Provincetown, David was a hospice social worker for Old Colony and Beacon Hospices. He was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Church in Quincy where he served as a lector and Eucharistic minister. Throughout his life, his greatest joy was serving others. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (Coughlin) Mendes. Loving brother of Marie Gagnon of FL. Also survived by his sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), HOLBROOK, on Thursday, February 1st from 4-8pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral mass will be held Friday, February 2nd at 11am at St. John the Baptist Church in Quincy. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
