Derrick Milton Cazard

Beloved son of Deborah (Levine) Saboya and stepson of Michael Stevens, of Newport, Rhode Island, died of accidental drowning on June 30, 2008. He was also brother of Sebastian Cazard, and Maria Elena Arias Cazard of Fitchburg, MA, and a member of the Francis family of Nahant, MA and the Rhodes Family of Newport, Rhode Island. Derrick grew up in Acton, Massachusetts and attended the University of Massachusetts, Boston, where he planned to return in September, 2008. He was a well known and much appreciated employee at The Viking Restaurant of Newport, Rhode Island, and at several Boston restaurants including Mooo, Vinalia, Stephanie's on Newbury, and Zita's. His mother, family and many friends will gather to celebrate his tragically shortened, but love filled life and spirit at 2pm, Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Cloverleigh Mansion, 44 Catherine St., Newport.
