DOMENIC ANTHONY "TONY" DEJULIO

DeJULIO, Domenic Anthony "Tony" Of Waltham, died peacefully surrounded by family, on October 30. Beloved husband of the late Irma (Alberico) DeJulio. Loving father of Michael DeJulio and his wife, Annamaria of Waltham, Gloria DeJulio Babigian and her husband, Peter of Waltham and Sandra Vecchio and her husband, Tommy of Waltham. Cherished grandfather of Christina Landino and her husband, Frank, Tiana Sessa and her husband, Peter, Domenic Anthony DeJulio, Bianca Bird and her husband, Chris, Cayla Mantey and her husband, Derek, Michael DeJulio and his wife, Shayla, Arianna Logue and her husband, Sean, Giovanni Vecchio, Gary Babigian and Marc DeJulio. Dear great-grandfather of Mia, Luca, Christian, Blaise, Logan, Sienna, Lyla and Leo. Brother of the late Edina D'Anello. Survived by his many nieces, nephews, family, friends; and dear friend, Maria Stack. Tony was born in Sulmona, Italy on October 3, 1932. Shortly after, the family packed up and moved to Roccacaramanico. He was raised by his mother, Gelsa, along with his sister, Edina. On October 10, 1949, he arrived at Ellis Island. Tony began his journey of living the "American Dream" alongside his paesans who all immigrated from La Rocca. In 1959, Tony made his way back to Italy to find a bride. It was then that he met his beautiful wife, Irma, they married within a few months and returned to America, to prepare a home and a life with his new bride in Watertown, MA. They began a family and by 1964 they had three children, Michael, Gloria and Sandra. In 1966, Tony, along with three partners, incorporated Queen Screw and Mfg. He became the sole owner in the 1990s and loved going to work every day up until the age of 92. He made sure his family was well cared for in creating the legacy he left behind to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tony lived life to the fullest while demonstrating his love for cooking, feeding others, making wine, tomato sauce, pizza and polenta, traveling to Aruba and Italy and making a second home for his entire family in Cape Cod. Relatives and friends are invited to Visit at the DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Massachusetts Ave., ARLINGTON, on Monday, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. All are also invited to Visit at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Parish, 920 Trapelo Rd., Waltham, on Tuesday, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, and to his Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm.
