Donald Griffin

Of Lexington and Barnstable, August 3, 1915 - November 7, 2003. Mourned by his son John Griffin of Brighton; his daughters, Janet Abbott (wife of Freeland, Jr.) of Arlington and Margaret Griffin (John Weldon) of Montreal, his grandchildren, Eric Jackson, Freeland Abbott III, Kimberly Callahan, Alexander and Dinah Weldon, his great grandsons, Cody and Morgan Callahan and an international community of friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his beloved daughter Nancy Jackson, his first wife Ruth Castle Griffin and his second wife Jocelyn Crane Griffin. A Memorial Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Elephant Listening Project, Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, 159 Sapsucker Woods Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
