Donald LONG Obituary

LONG, Donald J. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on October 4, 2022. Beloved husband of Janet C. Long (Greene). Loving father of Lillian Bonnie Brown and her husband, James of Lexington, Dwight Long and his wife, Mary Lou of Littleton, Douglas Long and his wife, Eileen of Littleton, and Jennifer Soillis and her husband, Steven of Concord. Devoted brother of the late John Long, Edward Long, Dorothy Long, Richard Long, Doris Stearns, Patricia Perkins, and Jean Haney. Loving grandfather to nine grandchildren, Garret, Jonathan and Douglas Brown, Louisa and Lena Long, Meredith and Donald, Long, II, and Lillian and Christopher Soillis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Don graduated from Watertown High in 1951, followed by four years in the Navy. He graduated from Business School and later founded his own company, Integra Inc., which he ran for 40 years. He was an ardent sports fan and especially loved basketball and the Boston Celtics. He was a proud member of the 6am Allstars which met at the Lexington High Field House. Don will always be remembered as a kind, wonderful man and a great friend. He will be missed by all.

Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, October 11, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Donations in his memory may be made to Compassus Hospice, 790 Turnpike St., Suite 202, North Andover, MA 01845. Interment private.
