PAGE, Donald B. March 30, 1931 - October 25, 2025 Of Needham, Massachusetts, passed away with family by his side, on October 25, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on March 30, 1931, in Melrose, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Frank W. Page and Florence E. Barnard. Don was a proud graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1949, and went on to earn his degree from Tufts University in 1953. Soon after, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. Following his military service, Don began a distinguished 38-year career with Carter Rice, a printing paper distributor, where he rose through the ranks from a sales trainee in New Haven to Vice President and New England Sales Manager. Throughout his career, he was active in numerous industry organizations, known for his leadership, professionalism, and mentorship. A lifelong lover of sports and the outdoors, Don's passion was golf, a game he began at age 11 as a caddy and continued to play competitively throughout his life. He was a devoted member of the Wellesley Country Club, where he served on the Board of Governors for ten years. He was also a former member of Bermuda's Mid-Ocean Club, and a long-standing member of the Massachusetts Golf Association since 1992. Don contributed greatly to the organization as a rules official, and served on various MGA committees, including the Executive Committee for over a decade. He also served as the past president of the Hickory Shafts. His dedication to the game reflected his generous spirit and lifelong "give back" attitude. Don remained active well into his later years. Beyond golf and athletics, he loved animals, music, and good company, but above all, he cherished his family. Family was the center of his life, and his happiest times were spent with them celebrating holidays like Thanksgiving, and during summers on Cape Cod, a beloved tradition starting during childhood. Don was the devoted husband of the late Meredith Plaisted Page for 53 wonderful years, and enjoyed the companionship of his dear friend, the late Pat Jones, while living at North Hill. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Page and his wife, Lisa and David Page and his wife, Stacey. He was the proud grandfather of Heather, Brittany, Morgan, Michael and Sara; and the adoring great-grandfather of Declan, Sage, Koda, Max and Oliver. He's also survived by his nephew, Robert Page; niece, Bonnie Downing; and their loving families. Don will be remembered as a true gentleman, exuding warmth, humor, and integrity. His legacy lives on through his family, his friends, and the countless lives he touched. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Don's life with a reception, Thursday, November 20, from 12-3 PM, at Wellesley Country Club.
