To all the Julians,
Your Mom was such a very, very special person. We all loved her very much. I could fill pages with memories of "Dottie girl" but I will keep them to myself and think of them when I want a smile on my face and a chuckle in my heart. She was such a wonderful friend to our Mom for decades. That was our Dottie girl. We loved her and will miss her greatly. Tricia

What can I say about ma? She was a woman who through strife, turmoil, and major challenges found the strength to face each with grace, dignity, and above all humor. She loved and cherished life and lived it to the fullest despite her physical limitations in later years.
She was an extrodinary mother who knew no bounds. Her kids always came first no matter what. If there was an award for mother of a lifetime, ma would win, hands down.
She was a terrific friend to anyone who needed her. She was there to lend a helping hand, a smile, a laugh, a shoulder or even a tear. She was the best friend anyone has had the privelege of knowing.
She loved to sing, dance, and wow could she tell a story. It didn't matter how many times you heard them, they were just as funny as the first time and they were all true life. When she entered a room within minutes she had a captive audience. Everyone knew " Dot " at the end of the day.
Ma reminded us often, the name Dorothy meant a " Gift from God " and surely she was. We love you ma and we will miss you dearly but you will remain in our hearts and minds forever. Godspeed our best friend, our ma.

Paul, Addriene, Maggie, Diane, and Mr. Julian,
So very sorry for your mom's death, she was so special to all of us Hanley's.
She was filled with life and laughter, so many stories from my mother who loved her very much. Dot and stories went hand in hand.
I will never forget the time she rode on a boyfriend of mines motorcyle in her dress......so funny, the time she kept throwing the frisbe into our neighbors meticulous lawn, the police were called, when arriving they came and joined our party for a while!
All her "Hot tickets" and her "luvvy's" will be missed. But she has just taken them to a greater place. She is singing and dancing with my mother...and laughing....
Blessings
Susan

Dot and I worked together in the Boston Police Department, and we were in the first group of women hired by them in the 1960s. Later we worked together in a candy shop. The one thing I, and everyone else, always remember about her is how she was always filled with laughter and joy. For over 40 years she kept me laughing all the time. She loved to dance, and she loved to get up with a microphone and sing. She was so well-loved. I treasured our friendship, which we kept through these many years, and I will miss her and the laughter she always brought me.

We have such fond memories of Dot. She was always the life of the many Pool Parties we had growing up. Nobody could get my mom laughing like Dot-- She loved her very much. So sad to get the news.

You are all in our prayers.
