MARTIN, Dorothy (Devonshire) A longtime former resident of Whitman, MA, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022, at the age of 79. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends in her final days. The daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Devonshire, Dotty was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and is survived by their four children and their spouses: Tara and John Cardi, Nicole and Fred Grant, Tim and Kathryn Martin, and Chris and Maureen Martin. Dotty was predeceased by her brothers, John and Robert Devonshire; and sister, Eileen Devonshire. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret O'Brien and Carol Smith. Dotty was the beloved Nana to 13 grandchildren and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Devoted to her family, Dotty gave her life to her children and grandchildren, who always filled her with joy and brought a smile to her face. Dotty dedicated her career to helping others and caring for those in need. After her long tenure as a registered nurse, Dotty retired to Cape Cod and spent her days bike riding, walking the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren, of whom she was immensely proud.
