I can't believe Edith is gone. The light of neuropsych; the guts of the discipline. She was my friend, mentor, teacher, colleague. I have one of her clock purses in front of me now on my desk. Seeing it there daily connects me with her outrageous, unique, infectious love of life. I was proud when my work was likened to hers (in mild frustration, I was told "you're more Edith than Edith"), pleased that others saw the similarity in how we thought and worked which we both felt to be important. I can't believe she is gone. She will always be alive in me, and in many others. Nonetheless, it's the end of an era.
