Edward R. Baush

BAUSH, Edward R. Of Scituate formerly of Bedford, MA, died peacefully on June 13, 2009, at the age of 86. Loving husband of sixty-four years to Frances M. (Hagerty). Ed married Fran in 1944. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a pilot and flew a B-24 Liberator aircraft in the Carpetbagger Division of the 801st/492nd Bombardment Group. Ed graduated in 1949 from UMass Amherst, receiving a Bachelor of Science and Master's in Food Science. He worked with Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, Cryovac Chemical Co. in Cambridge, United Fruit & Food/United Brands in Boston, private consulting and Natick Laboratories in Natick. Ed enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, gardening and extensive travel with his wife. He loved music, dancing and his summer home at Lovell Lake in NH. Most recently, he enjoyed several warm winters with his wife and members of his family in Port Charlotte, FL. Devoted father of Susan M. Baush of Scituate, Linda C. Cali and her husband Robert of Boxborough and Rosemary A. Zimmerman of Sanbornville, NH. Brother of George A. Baush of Holyoke and the late Harold Bauch. Grandfather of Robert E. and Michael J. Cali, Robert D., Amy M. and Thomas C. Zimmerman. Also by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate on Wednesday, June 17th at 10AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity at 11AM. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4PM-8PM.
