ELAINE M. LALLY

LALLY, Elaine M. (Sullivan) Of Braintree, went to Heaven peacefully at home on January 19, 2021. She was the most beloved and devoted wife of 57 years to the late Joseph P. Lally. Loving & caring mother of Marie McCarthy (Kevin) of Weymouth; Joanne Smith (Jimmy) of Kingston; Laurie Guilderson (John) of Plymouth; Joseph Lally, Jr. (Susan) of North Reading; Paul Lally (Heidi) of Milton; Christopher Lally of Hanover; and Michael Lally LT, SCSD (Karen) of Quincy. Nana will be especially missed but so lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren that she cherished: Bryan, Shawn, Colin, Mariah, Colleen, Patrick, Ryan, Conor, Liam, Bridget, Brendan, Hannah, Morgan, Emma, Jack Paul, Ben and especially the late Mikey Burke Lally, USN. Great-granddaughters, Fiona & Teagan. Sister of James Sullivan and the late Richard Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, and Anne "Nancy" Goulette. Also survived by the loving Roche family of cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Her strong faith and lifelong devotion to the Blessed Mother and The Holy Family gave her so much strength & energy especially during these past few months. Her devout & inspirational nature made her the go-to person for any prayer (lighting the candle) and prayer chain that was being initiated. She never forgot her Irish heritage, her patriotism and her "OFD" roots. So many memories & so many stories but alas, so little time, so little space. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Visiting Hours on Friday, 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital). For your safety, there are Covid-19 precautions in place and seating in the church is limited to invited guests only. For those who are unable to attend the Funeral Mass in person, the Mass will be live streamed on the SHSTM Collaborative YouTube channel. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
