PERLMUTTER, Elizabeth Ann (Robins) Passed away peacefully, on January 26, 2025. She was born in Tomahawk, Wisconsin on October 18, 1958, the third child of Robert and Luann Robins. Elizabeth loved fiercely and gave generously to her family, her friends and her community. She adored her three children: Michael, Andrew (Elizabeth) and daughter, Julia. Liz grew up primarily in the small Northwoods city of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She spent her junior high years living in Green Bay, Wisconsin just blocks from Lambeau Field (which sparked her lifelong fandom of the Packers). She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1976 and from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in elementary education. After college, she taught 5th grade in Monticello, WI and worked a second job at a grocery store in Madison, WI, where she met the love of her life, Franklin Lewis Perlmutter, the son of Harriet and the late Milton Perlmutter of Short Hills, NJ. Liz and Frank were married in Rhinelander in 1983 and then moved East to Boston. They settled in Sherborn, MA in 1994 and happily raised their three children. Despite the miles, she remained close to her family in Wisconsin, including her parents, aunts; brother, Roderick; and sister, Jessica as well as their spouses and children, with many visits to Boston and trips to Wisconsin over the years. The Perlmutters were devoted to their children's' school system and were champions of fundraising and volunteerism for Dover-Sherborn. Liz spent hours baking, cooking and hosting dinners, banquets and pool parties for her children's' many sports teams. She served as a room parent, Brownie scout leader and church volunteer, involving herself in as many community activities as possible. Liz was a strong and athletic woman who enjoyed running, bicycling and even hosted water aerobics classes at her home in Sherborn. Liz and Frank enjoyed summers on Chappaquiddick and spent many winters skiing with friends and family at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. In addition to their children, they had great pride and love for their three golden retrievers. While Liz and Frank were from different religious traditions, they made certain to celebrate each other's religion and expose their children to the wonders of faith. Liz was of Christian faith and prayer was part of her daily routine even in the most difficult of times, such as Frank's unexpected passing in 2016. Liz was hospitalized in late December 2024 and spent the last few weeks of her life at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her family was able to gather and say their loving goodbyes before she passed. Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Perlmutter; her father, Robert R. Robins; her father-in-law, Milton Perlmutter; and her brother-in-law, Karl Southworth. She is survived by her mother, Luann Robins; children, Michael, Andrew (Elizabeth) and Julia; her granddaughter, Maya; her brother, Rod Robins (Adie); her sister, Jessica Southworth Bates (Alan Bates); her mother-in-law, Harriet Perlmutter; sister-in-law, Genesia Perlmutter Kamen (Steven Kamen); brother-in-law, David Perlmutter (Sara Kaplan) and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. A Funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, at 11am, at Pilgrim Church in Sherborn, followed by a private Burial. All are welcome to attend a Reception immediately after the service at the Sherborn Community Center. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be sent to Boston Children's Hospital in memory of Elizabeth Perlmutter. For guestbook, please visit
