Wow, I'm just hearing about this now. Very sad news. Ms. McDonough was the best chemistry teacher ever. She will always be remembered as a patient, quick witted inspirational, strong woman.

I will always remember the good times we had in Ellen's carpool[1972 Dodge Dart] The snow days we left Liberty early to beat the storms home. [Ellen never had snow tires} She would see a snow flake and we would all have to run to the parking lot[ha]. We will miss her and her wonderful sense of humor. The Carpool Girls

To The McDonough Family:
John and I extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy to all of you in the days of your sorrow. I was very saddened by the loss of Ellen.
In earlier years, we shared allot of fond memories. I always had a blast sleeping over the McDounough house and having tea. Ellen and I spent time in California, skiing in North Conway and over forty years ago, Ellen was a bridesmaid at my wedding. Ellen had a heart of gold,
but most of all, she knew the true meaning of the word love and I mean
unconditional love.

Dear Margi, Mary Ann, Theresa, Martin, Michael and her dear friend Pierre: I was saddened to learn that your wonderful sister/dear friend had passed yesterday. Ellen was the epitome of a lifelong friend to me. When we would meet, even though it sometimes was infrequent, time stopped and we were “back in the day.” Please know of my sorrow for your loss and that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May Ellen rest in the peace of Christ.
