TRAQUINA, Engracia Of Chicopee. Age 91, peacefully passed away on March 29, 2015 at the Heritage Hall South Nursing Home in Agawam. A devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so many, she loved life and lived a beautiful life. She was born on Oct. 28, 1923 in Chao de Galego, Portugal. One of eleven siblings, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Ana (Nogueira) Tereso. She worked as an inspector for the Spaulding Company for many years before she retired. She was a communicant of the former Holy Name Church. She is predeceased by her husband Jose Marques Traquina, who passed away in 2007. She leaves 2 sons, Nelson Traquina of Chicopee, MA and Perry Traquina and his wife Robin of Wayland, MA; 1 daughter, Diana Traquina and her husband Bernard Vasseur of Princeton, NJ; 1 sister, Ana Santos of Chicopee along with 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Matthew, and Philip Vasseur, and Meredith, Katherine and Jonathan Traquina. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 3-7 pm at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, CHICOPEE. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Libra Service at 11 a.m. in St. Rose de Lima Church. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name Parish, 104 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013.
