EOLANDA MADENSKY

MADENSKY, Eolanda (Reppucci) Of Andover, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2014 at age 94 surrounded by her loved ones. Eolanda was born at home in Everett, MA, the daughter of Italian immigrants, Giuseppe and Letizia. She was the widow of Joseph Madensky whom she married in Chelsea in 1942 before he went off to WWII. She worked several years at DuPont before she left to have her first born child and then became a homemaker. Her family members include her children, Leticia & Dr. Patrick Griffin of Arizona, Michael & Denise Madensky of Pelham, NH and Ann & Joe Pozerycki of Andover, eight grandchildren, Dana, Laurie, Sabrina, Julie, Nicholas, Michael, Keri and Daniel and 8 great grandchildren. She was pre-decreased by her oldest son Joseph. Eolanda lived many years in Everett, Revere, Beverly and finally Andover where she lived over 40 years. In her later years, she was a volunteer for many years at the Andover senior center sewing to make rag dolls for babies in need. She enjoyed traveling anywhere but especially back to Italy to visit with family. She will be missed by her loved ones. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at The Charles Dewhirst Andover Funeral Home, 33 Pearson Street, ANDOVER. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 17 at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Church, Andover. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.
