Erik Phillip GRIPPO

GRIPPO, Erik Phillip Erik P. Grippo, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on September 21, 2025, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, at the age of 45. He was born on September 1, 1980, in Brighton, Massachusetts.

Erik carried with him throughout his life a deep passion for collectibles. He also had a lifelong interest in electronics, especially computers, and enjoyed learning about and working with technology. Over the years, Erik found joy in searching for unique treasures, exploring new ideas, and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family alike.

Erik is survived by his mother, Ann J. Grippo of Newton, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his father, Felice S. Grippo of New York. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Nicolazzo of Brighton, Massachusetts, and her longtime partner, Dana Mahar of Hyde Park, Massachusetts; and his sister, Lea Valentin of Brighton, Massachusetts, and her husband, Ray Valentin of Brighton, Massachusetts. He leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephew, Jacqueline Cedrone, Maria Cedrone, and Mathew Bernstein; as well as his great-nephew, Noah Barnes; and great-niece, Makayla Adams Cedrone. Though family circumstances changed over the years, Erik remained close with his former brothers-in-law, Barney Cedrone and Mark Bernstein, keeping in touch and sharing in one another's lives.

Erik also had a deep love for animals. He adored his cats, Matty and Tyler, and cared for them as though they were his children.

He will be remembered for his warmth, curiosity, and the way he brought people together through his passions. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 221 Federal Street, Greenfield, Massachusetts. A reception will follow at the home of Ann Grippo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erik's memory to the American Heart Association.
