FRANCES BOBROFF Obituary

BOBROFF, Frances "Faye" Frances "Faye" Bobroff, 101, a woman whose devotion to her family was exemplary, died peacefully on January 9, 2022 at Brooksby Village in Peabody.She was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. Following graduation she worked at the GE River Works until her marriage in 1949 to Edward Bobroff who predeceased her. She had a second career at Salem Hospital working in the billing department where she was affectionately called the "Chief of Geriatrics" for her mastery of the Medicare codes. She was a wonderful cook and the family still talks about the great meals she prepared. Longtime residents of Marblehead, Ed and Faye moved to Brooksby Village in 2014. Faye was an avid reader, a sharp card player and lover of crossword puzzles. She is survived by her children: Neil Bobroff of Venice,Florida, Mark Bobroff of Danvers and Lori Edelson of Wayland; her son-in- law Steven Edelson and daughter-in-law Maureen Stewart; her grandchildren: Lisa Fries, Michael Edelson, Katherine Wyble and Andrew Bobroff and her great-grandchildren: Ian Edelson, Diana Wyble and Jane Wyble.Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery in Lynn, MA.
