FRANCIS HOFFMAN

HOFFMAN, Francis Age 97, of Orleans, formerly of New Bedford and Millis, MA, passed away on January 26, 2022. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Jackman) Hoffman for 70 years. Following his military service with the Sea Bees in the Navy during WWII, he graduated from New Bedford Institute of Textiles and Technology and worked as a chemist at US Army Research, Development and Engineering Center in Natick, MA. He enjoyed traveling, sailing, computers, and spending time with his family and friends. Fran is survived by his children; son Peter Hoffman of Medway, MA; daughters Barbara Mercorelli of Weymouth, MA and Nancy Smith of Chandler, AZ; and grandson Michael Hoffman of Franklin, MA. Funeral Services will be held privately.
