STAPLETON, Frank M. Of Dedham, 89, December 16, 2021. Beloved husband for seventy years of his adoring wife, Marie (Noble) Stapleton; son of Michael A. Stapleton and Marguerite (McAuliffe) Stapleton; loving father of Raymund Stapleton, and his wife Christine (Fosmire) of Quincy, Matthew Stapleton, and his wife Jean (Villard) of Dedham, Gregory Stapleton, and his wife Judy (Power) of Dedham, Frank Stapleton, and his wife Kristin (McCann) of Dedham, also the late Michael Stapleton, and his wife Judy (Mullins) of Milton and the late Jane Stapleton of Milton. Also survived by fourteen loving grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who filled him with joy. Frank was a proud US Navy Veteran submarine service Korean War and retired Senior Vice President of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Graduate Boston College High School 1949, Boston College Class of 1953. An active citizen and civil servant of the Town of Dedham for 61 years, serving as Town Meeting Member, Personnel Board, Finance Committee, Endicott Estate Commission, Brookdale Cemetery Board, and Town Assessor. Frank loved his community and was an example to all to work for the greater good. Frank especially enjoyed time at his home on Cape Cod in Brewster, MA. Frank was passionate about his family, community and country. Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, Dedham on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10am, Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
