FREDERICK BEEBE Obituary

BEEBE, Frederick A. Of Hull and Charlestown, departed this life on April 17, 2016. Fred brought a smile to everyone he met. He was gentle and strong, a natural provider and a selfless man. Affectionately called Ricky by his family and friends, he adored his wife Paulette and daughter Tarrah, who was the twinkle in his eye. He made sure to let everyone know how much he cared about them, and was a vessel through which God spread joy and compassion. Fred celebrated his faith as a Eucharistic Minister, teacher and youth group leader at St Ann's in Hull, and a Grand Knight with the Hull Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. In his "spare" time, you could find him up New Hampshire taking a sunset cruise on his pontoon boat, Livin' Lahhge. To Fred, "living large" was cherishing the little things: sending phone hugs, playing Santa Claus, taking care of his loved ones. He was the life of the party even if that meant doing the cooking and cleaning behind the scenes. Fred was a CPA with a Bachelor's Degree from Bentley College and an MBA from Boston University. He served multiple roles at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, most recently as Director of Audit at the School Building Authority and also as Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Revenue's Audit Division. Fred was a mentor to so many in his profession and in life.

Fred will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will bring a smile to the faces of all whose lives he touched. Loving son of Asa Frederick and Sylvia Beebe of Somerville. Beloved husband of Paulette Lavoie-Beebe of Hull. Devoted father of Tarrah Beebe of Los Angeles, CA. Cherished brother of Julia Hurley and her husband Jerry of Tampa, FL, Frank Beebe and his wife Terri of Medford, Jimmy Beebe and his wife Elizabeth of Suwanee, GA, and Michael Beebe of Las Vegas, NV. Loving nephew of Dolores Wellman, Yvonne Sannicandro, and Virginia Wojcieck. Fred is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday in St. Mary's Parish at St. Ann's Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fred may be made to either the Hull Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, 440 Nantasket Ave, Hull, MA 02045 or to St. Mary's Parish Youth Ministry, 208 Samoset Ave, Hull, MA 02045. I had Fred as an accounting instructor when I was at BU and enjoyed his class a great deal. I remember he had a great sense of humor and it made a rather dry topic a lot more enjoyable. Rest in peace

Fred was a great guy and working with him at DOR was always a pleasure. I'm great full for his knowledge and expertise of taxes. He started our softball league back in 2000 for which I was proud to be the coach of the "Audit Eagles" all these years. He will surely be missed.

I was so sad to hear of Fred's death. We went as chaperones to Worchester one year. He was kind, caring, funny, and a real, one of a kind, special angel to the students he served. I will miss him, but I am positive he is in heaven.

My son and I met Fred last summer on a YNIA service week in Newark, NJ. He was such a joyful, kind, and caring person! He had an infectious smile that in turn brought smiles on the faces of everyone around him. I will remember him for the crazy focus with which he played Jenga! Although we met Fred only briefly, he left an impression on so many of us. I was blessed to have met him. May God, whom he sought so faithfully, grant him everything that is promised to those who love Him. Our heartfelt condolences to you Paulette and to your daughter Tarrah.

I took the boat to work with Fred for many years. He would sometimes give me a ride if he saw me waiting on the corner for the bus in the morning. He was a wonderful person that brought a smile to your face when you saw him. I enjoyed talking with him and listening to his many stories. He loved his family and friends very, very much. I wish the world had more people like Fred. I will miss him very much.

My sympathy to the Beebe family. Fred was a true caring gentleman. I was standing behind him at the boat this windy morning and he turned around concerned that I was cold without my hood on and he put it on for me. I so appreciated it that day. Thank you Fred. RIP

Sincerely,

To Paulette, Tarrah and the Beebe Family,
There are no words to convey how sorry I am for your loss. My cousin Ricky was such a special man. He lived a life of true Christian values - his deep love and devotion to Paulette, Tarrah, his parents, family and friends. He practiced his faith with kindness, benevolence, and sympathy with everyone he knew. His legacy of love and service will never be forgotten. We will miss you Ricky; may you RIP.
Love,
Barbara (Beebe)
