Dear Marianne,
We are so sorry for your loss. It was so good to see you both recently although I wish it had been under different circumstances. My mother was so fond of her little brother Freddie (sounds silly right?). We hope the memories of happiness and togetherness you and Fred shared are sustaining you now in this time of loss.
