Memories and Condolences
for George MacDonald

Not sure what to say?

Joseph Vercellone

To the MacDonald Family my condolences. I grew up in
Cambridge in the same neighborhood with George.
I lived on Poplar Road. I remember when I was attending
my first year in Wentworth Institute we commuted together.
We had a lot of laughs going to & from school.

My Great Friends, Jackie, Jen and Heather,
I don't know where to begin, George (Honey 2) and all of you have always been such a huge part of mine and John's life. We will always remember the laughs we had together and the tears at the end. George always had a smile on his face and a skip in his step until the end.
I know he is in a better place and watching over all of us. Someone has to "maintain" us!
The memories John and I have are priceless and we will always remember them.
God Bless you all, I will always be your BFF!!!!

Love Lori and John

To The George F. MacDonald Family, from The William G. Epps (Paulette) Family, you have our Prayers and Condolences. George was a good friend to all, while he was attending Rindge with me and the rest of the young men of Rindge, but especially with our class of "57". He will truly be missed by all whoever had any contact with him. From what I heard, he fought a good fight, until our LORD called him home, where we all strive to go some day. Rest on good brother, we shall all meet again.
Our LOVE to you, The MacDonald Family,
Bill and Paulette

To the MacDonald Family,
Although we did not know George personally we knew him from the inside. He was one of our special patients who we supported for many years with blood transfusions. He became a regular in our Blood Bank work week and we already feel the void. We were saddened to hear he lost his battle. May you find comfort in knowing we worked with you to provide him with all the special blood components he required. He was a special man to us as well.

Dear Aunt Jackie, Jen & Heather,

Uncle George was a great Uncle and a good man. There aren't many like him out there and I will miss him. I always looked forward to our times together. He always made me feel special whenever we talked because it was obvious he genuinely cared, and that is such a good quality. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you all.

Dear Jackie, Jen and Heather: I will miss George so much. I am so proud of the way he handled his illness. He is an inspiration to us all. My friend, Sandy, and I were reminiscing about George in High School when he used to wear sun glasses all the time, even at night. Sandy, Marie and I had crushes on some of his friends in high school. I have good memories of my wonderful brother, George, as we all do. I will keep you all in my prayers. Love you all.

Claire Hoffman.

Jackie and family,
We were saddened to hear that George passed on to the Lord, on Thursday. We have lost one of our most admired friends. George stands for everything good. He was a very honorable man. He was the the perfect example of a devoted husband to you Jackie and an outstanding father to Jennifer, Heather, and his grandchildren. George could make a person feel like he or she was the most important and the best ever. Even though I have been away from Massachusetts for twenty-nine years, when I came home for a visit I couldn't wait to see Jackie and George. Especially George, so I could get my hug and my compliment fix from him. Wow, what do we say now. This is a very sad time for all that loved George. The best part for you Jackie, Jennifer and Heather is all the wonderful times to remember with one of the greatest men to ever lived. He will always be with you. We have great memories of our dear friend George also, and he will always be in our hearts as a warm and kind man. We love you all Jackie, Jennifer, Heather and family. We wish we could be with you at this time. It makes us feel sad that we can't wrap our arms around you and show you all how much we love you. We are with you in spirit. Love you all, Pat and John

Dear Jackie, I was heartbroken to learn yesterday of George's passing! We have had wonderful conversations together during our hours at Oncology at Sturdy! I was so looking forward to Cancer Survivor day with both of you this year as always...when I saw him 3 weeks ago we even arranged for "our table together" with you and our other "regulars". He was a wonderful, gentle, talented man and I will miss him as a friend more than I can say! Know you and the family will be in my prayers and I hope to see you Monday. Love, Paula Correia
