Well my old friend it has been 7 years since you left us to be with Rosie and the gang. Sadly and unfortunately, Danny left us way too early to join the group. All year long moments come up of many great times in Maine and all of the Superbowl´s. Say hello to the gang and save me a seat at the card table!!!

Hero seems to be a word society uses too loosely these days in my opinion. George was truly a hero who fought for the freedom we all enjoy today. He was part of the bravest, toughest, most resilient generation this country will ever know. George was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. You were lucky to have known him and blessed to have been in his inner circle. George and Rose blessed our world with kind, caring, and compassionate children repeated again with their grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The McCartney family is one of the finest group of people one could ever know. May peace, love, and fond memories surround the McCartney family now and forever. God Bless you George. Tally-Ho!

Dear family, Sorry we couldn't drop by in person to express our sympathy . George was an every day "hero" with a sense of humor and a generous, loving heart. He was a pleasure to know.

George (Mack) and the McCartney families were a life long part of the Welch families. As I got older my own family became close friends with George and Rose so many memories. George and my father had a close friendship that started out back in the thirties. We had many great times together in Maine and got together for all of the superbowls. Prayers and love to the McCartney's Jim, Kathy, Michael and Katelyn.

To Kathleen, Susan, Jeanne & Daniel,
Your dad, George, although a military hero par excellence considered himself so honored to be a dad and husband. He is now in Heaven with Rose, your mom. They are both experiencing the perfect joy of Heaven. Remember, they will always be your mom and dad looking after each of you with love. Alleluia!

George is a great part of the Welch family life. As far back as I can remember he was there. So many memories. He was a kind and loving man. He and my dad .Jim had quite the history together. They worked together, went to war, married their sweethearts Rose and Eleanor. Had their families, shared memorable events. Played cards and shared time together in Maine. Last time I visited with George and my brother Jim as we were leaving I told him I loved him - I turned around and said I'll see you later George. He said "No you won't" He was ready to go Home to God and his Rosie. I will forever miss you George. With great love and respect.
Debbie and Bob who got to know you as well and happy about that. RIP
