GERALD FINEBERG Obituary

FINEBERG, Gerald Loving husband, father, and friend, passed away December 17, 2022. Jerry, as he was known to his friends, grew up in Portland, Maine, and moved to Boston after he got out of the Navy. He began his real estate business in 1961, buying his first building on a handshake and good faith. He went on own residential and commercial properties throughout the Boston/Brighton/Brookline area. Jerry became a lover and collector of contemporary art. He was on the board of the Rose Art Museum and was instrumental in helping build their contemporary collection. Jerry was an avid golfer and squash player and represented the U.S. in the Maccabee games. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra; his child, Michelle (Eric Levin); granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah, Gary (Iris) granddaughter, Daphna and Adam as well as Sandra's daughter, Beth Rosenberg (Abe); their children, Marissa (Zach), Zachary (Alyssa), and Zoe (Harrison); and her son, James Paul; and his daughter, Madeleine. Graveside Services at Or Emet Cemetery, 776 Baker St., W. Roxbury, MA, on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11 am. We first met in 1956 at the Boston University Phi Ep house in Brookline when you came to visit your friends from Portland!
Our first venture was fro ing down to Florida with your Portland friend Ed Koss ! A memorable trip it was! I was there at the beginning and remained in touch over the many years your memory lingers on! My condolences to Sandra and family you were very special
