I have thought about you too, all year long.
Aunt and Uncle Jerry, I have such fond memories of you both since my early childhood. Thank you so much.
I'm so glad I stopped by with my daughter, Erin, on that Tuesday morning, in the summer of 2006. I knocked on the open door, walked in, looked around for about 5 minutes, and then almost left because nobody answered. My Uncle Jerry finally came up from downstairs. He was always happy to see me, and gave me a big hug and kiss. We sat, laughed and talked about family, looked at some old photos of the Kelleys, and had the greatest visit. Little did I know that would be our last. Thank you again. I will never forget it.

When I think of Dad I think of a warm hug, I think of the songs he loved to sing when we were little, "Nickelodeon" Zippidy Do Da","Bye Bye Blackbird" he loved to hug us and sign to us.
When I think of Papa with the grandkids I think of the long hugs while he hummed "mmmmmm...", I think of all the warm greetings and names he had for the kids, "little fella", "little sweetie".
When I think of Dad I think of good times, large family gatherings and a good card game. Everyone always welcomed.
Mostly when I think of Dad I think of the great love and respect he had for my Mother. He made sure we all knew how much he loved Ma each and every day.

Dear Aunt Jerry and family,
I will miss Uncle Jerry. You have my deepest sympathies. I feel so very,very blessed to have had the chance to visit him back in July.
He was as witty and sharp as ever. We talked about everything ranging from my mother and father, politics, Boston Latin, family members,talk radio and much more.
And we got some great pictures too!
I am so happy that my wife Louisa and son Owen finally got to meet him. Eventually I will meet Uncle Jerry again and we will pick up our conversation then.
