GERALD VERNON PARKHURST

1946 - 2025

PARKHURST, Gerald Vernon Passed away on November 14, 2025, at Avita Memory Care in Wells, Maine, at the age of 78. Born in Framingham, MA, on November 25, 1946, Jerry graduated from Weston High School in 1964 and C.W. Post College in 1968. He proudly served 30 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, and enjoyed a banking career, retiring as Senior Vice President with Bank of America. Jerry leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Tricia) Flaherty Parkhurst; sons, Brendan and wife, Meg of Kennebunk and Matthew of Boston; three grandchildren, Bronwyn, Fionn and Jameson; sister, Sharon Gauthier; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He and Tricia built their dream home on Sanibel Island, where he volunteered at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW), and spent summers in Kennebunk with family. Known for his outgoing personality, Grampa Jerry loved traveling, reading, cooking, and Saturday morning donut runs with his grandchildren.
