GERALDINE CULGIN Obituary

CULGIN, Geraldine A. (Antosca) Age 91, a longtime resident of Framingham died Sunday, July 11, 2021, with her family at her side following a lengthy illness. Born in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (DePrizio) Antosca, and the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Culgin. A graduate of Mansfield High School, Geraldine went on to graduate from the Newton Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She married Robert in 1951, and began her nursing career holding various positions. By far her most rewarding was that of school nurse at both the Charlotte Dunning and Brophy Schools in Framingham. The beloved matriarch of her family, Gerry's love, optimism and guidance was always present and cherished by all. She is survived by her children, Kathleen A. DeRosa & her husband Tim of Woburn, Carol Bergstrom & her husband Flip of Falmouth, Robert J. & his wife Natalie of Framingham, Beth Serafi of Asbury Park, NJ, and Donna Coen & her husband Kevin of Falmouth, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Robert, she was predeceased by her brothers, John and George Antosca. Family and friends will honor and remember Geraldine's life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, on Thursday morning, July 15th from 8:30 – 10:30 A.M. Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. Bridget's Church, 830 Worcester Road, Framingham at 11:00 o'clock. Interment in St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Geraldine's name to: The American Lung Assoc., www. lung.org, (please click on the "make a gift in memory" tab.)
