GERALDINE O'DONOVAN Obituary
(Laffan) Of South Weymouth, formerly of South Boston went peacefully home to God on April 28th at the age of 86. Beloved wife and best friend of her husband Timothy J. O'Donovan they were blessed with 51 loving years of marriage. Devoted, generous and loving mother of Timothy F. and wife Kathy of Abington, Anne Gilberti and husband Rob of Franklin and Aime O'Donovan of Abington. Proud and cherished Nana to T.J. and Brian O'Donovan as well as Sam, Sean and Brigid Gilberti. Dear sister of Rita McKinnon Gillespie of Neponset and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Daughter of the late Anne (Mulaney) and Daniel Laffan and predeceased by her siblings Ann McCabe-Scott, Helena Callahan, Daniel Laffan and Mary McIntyre. Family and friends are welcome to attend the celebration of Gerry's life at a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, May 14th at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 234 Pleasant Street, Weymouth, MA 02190. Gerry always preferred donations to a worthy cause over flowers so to honor her wishes a donation in her name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
