May the out pouring of love you have received, serve as a reminder to you and your family of how much Gus was loved by all who knew him. The entire industry is proud to claim Gus, as one of their own.
It reminds me of the movie, A Wonderful life. Just Knowing Gus made everybody's life better.
Integrity is a powerful force, keeping Gus alive to others long after he has left their presence.
May God Bless your precious soul Gus and your entire family.

Decades ago now, Gus was a friend and teammate at Boston Latin School. He was a good-hearted man with a great sense of humor. Gus embodied the essence of 'gentleman'. He will forever be remembered fondly for his role as a teammate but not especially as a friend by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

To all the Bakas family, my deepest sympathies on your loss. May your warmest memories of Gus guide you through this time of darkness.

So terribly sorry to hear about Gus. I knew him way back when, in West Roxbury, and in high school at BLS. It was such a nice surprise to see him here in Bellingham a few years back, and then subsequently around town or at the gym. He always had a smile and would chat about his family. What a great guy. My love and thoughts with your family

I only worked with Gus a few years but he became a good friend to me, and we always checked in with each other every few months or so, and just as recently as 2 weeks ago. He genuinely wanted what was best for people. He liked to laugh and joke, and I'll miss that, but what I liked most about Gus was that he was a good family man. He always spoke fondly of Terry, his boys and his girls. He would always look forward to movie night with the kids and popcorn and coached basketball whenever he could. He was very proud of them. I'm shocked and saddened by his passing and my prayers and thoughts are with Terry, his boys and his girls.
