Dear family and friends: as we all know Herman was one of a kind.

He was well loved by all that knew him. I worked with Herman at the MWRA. He was a good MAN, HUSBOND, And SON. He will be missed.

Dear family and friends:

I knew Herman in high school and attended a graduation party that he held at his home. He was so full of laughter and never had an unkind word for anyone. Herman was a great person to have known. He will be missed immensely.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Herman represented the absolute best the Boston has to offer. God bless the famiy at this time. I learned about the tragedy much later but I am still profoundly affected to live with greater zest and enthusiasm to be the best person I can be because that is what Herman inspired me to do 20 years ago.

The (Soldier Story) is what I meant to say, was one of the best testimonies during the service.

I am so sorry for your loss. Herman was my friend and a great, great person. I am so sorry I didn't know about his death until today. God Bless his family, and his soul.

It is especially difficult to make meaning of a death at an early age but it is even more wrenching when that person is such a vital, caring, and engaged person as Herman. I had the real pleasure of meeting and knowing Herman as a fellow neighborhood activist in the South End. Herman could be counted on to make contributions of his time, ideas, and energy. He was upbeat, positive, and actively took on the challenges in making a neighborhood a real community. The only consolation at this time is in having had the opportunity to know Herman. He has touched many in a shortened life and left friends who mourn his passing.

My sympathies are extended to his family.

Dear Family and Friends:

Herman was a statue of a man. He was all that, and a bag of chips! The services went well, and I would like to express that the (Shoulder Story) touched my heart.

May we all keep his memory alive, and try to stay strong. For it still hurts as I write these words, but Herman would want for us to stay focused, and step up to the plate.

God Bless!

My prayers and sympathies go to the Daley family. He served as the Polemarch, the leader, of the Kappa Alpha Psi chapter at the University of Pennsylvania. He was our Chocolate Prince.

To the Daley family: My name is Donald Fields and I knew Herman many years ago when he was affiliated with Prosper Publications and the Prosper Foundation. He was one of the most outstanding and intelligent young men I had ever had the pleasure of meeting. His kind, friendly and warm demeanor was endearing and infectious. He was always a very Happy young man, and I admired his tenacity and his drive. You all have my deepest sympathy and condolence on his passing. I was notified of the service just yesterday (5/12), and was enroute to Houston from Atlanta, and am unable to attend, even though today, I say a special prayer for Herman and for you all. May God's eternal love and blessing comfort you in this time and in the future. Please don't hesitate to call me...713-256-6243, Sincerely, Donald Fields.
