Hi Judith - I was so sadden to learn of Hillel and his struggles. Hillel was a lovely boy. I remember the day of David's funeral, he came to our house to be with Jesse for a while, how sweet and sad he was. He will be missed by all who knew him. We are all so sorry for your loss but please remember how well liked Hillel was by all who knew him. Fondly Margaret Zorfas, Newton. MA

Judith,
My heart is breaking for you. There are no words, I can only say that in reading the messages that have been left in Hillel's memory it is very clear that even in the throws of his addiction, he touched so many. His heart and sweetness shine through. I know his impact on all those he touched will live on for a long time. Hugs.

Trying to find the words to express how you made me feel was easy, but saying goodbye to you today is hard. Often misunderstood by others, I saw the beautiful soul you were. Now all I have left are our sweet memories through the good and the bad. You always found the time out of your day to ask me how I was doing, when I was on the other side worried about you. In your own words, "we will make it through and be better." You were one of my biggest supporters when I doubted myself. From the day I met you, I knew we would be good friends; that perfect smile and special something that drew me in and everyone else around you. Your heart was too big for this world I must say. I held great love for you in my heart, you knew that. Somehow, coming by to see me everyday always made my day brighter. Sweet memories that I will cherish. I will hold and fulfill your promises...may you leave this painful place to be used in my life and forever close to me and may I walk this earth serving others that struggle with this merciless monster as we do. You helped me not fall back into its ever consuming embrace. As my heart breaks I will think of your smile as well as your goofiness. Im glad you came into my life. May we all love the way you loved. You greatly impacted those around you and close to you. Again, that beautiful soul I got to know and privileged to see, I will carry with me til my time here is done. Praying your departure will make a bigger impact as your magnificent life was to many. Im glad you are no longer suffering and now on your eternal journey.
Goodbye for now sweet heart.

Judith, I wasn't sure where to send a card and wanted to express my sadness for the loss of your son, Hillel. Remembering Hillel as a 7th grader at Oak Hill brings back memories of his sophisticated thinking, his kindness and concern for friends, his effort to manage the demands of middle school and most of all his love and pride for you and David. I am so very sorry and hope that with time you and your family will find peace in the memories you can share of Hillel. Best, Caren Bobroff

Mrs. Judith I am terribly sorry for your loss my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. Hillel was one of a kind, a joy to be around no matter what. He couldn't help but make everyone around him laugh and smile. I can only pray that God had much greater purpose in Hillels beautiful life and his passing than we can imagine. Nothing happens in Gods world by mistake, I pray this will impact those who are still struggling Hillel may have saved so many others lives.
My deepest condolences

Mrs. Judith, I'm so sorry for this terrible heart ache. I'm so lucky to have had the privilege of meeting you and also having Hillel in my life. May your find peace and comfort. He is out of pain and right next to his daddy! His memory will forever live on. The place in my heart for that beautiful soul and phenomenal person will never leave. I'm still in shock. I just keep remembering his smile, that smile could light up a room. Sincere apologies, and keep faith in God throughout this. He has a plan and purpose for everything, even the things we can't explain. I love you.
