Hyman I. Sher

Entered into rest, July 9 of Salem, formerly of Swampscott. Beloved husband for 70 years of Lillian (Paisner) Sher. Devoted father of Sandra S. Griffel of Marblehead, Joan S., and her husband Dr. Melvyn Kramer of Hudson, and the late Gerald H. Sher. Loving brother of Sylvia Kramer and Lillian Sugarman both of Swampscott. Cherished grandfather of David and Peggy Griffel, Lisa and Joe Perroncello, Lauren and Anthony Cerullo, Beth and Ross Mazer, Alison and David Wilks, Andrew T. Kramer and adored "Papa Hy" of 11 great- grandchildren. Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., SALEM-SWAMPSCOTT line on Thursday, July 10 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the Chevra Kadisha of Chelsea Cemetery in Woburn. Memorial Observance at his late residence following the interment until 8:00 p.m., and Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to the Temple Emanu-El Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, 393 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, MA 01945 or to the North Shore Elder Services, 152 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
