My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and the Sacred Heart Community. She was a really wonderful lady, she will be greatly missed! I grew up surrounded by her love and my daughter was lucky enough to have her as her teacher. ! m sure you are singing with the Angels now! May you rest in peace! Sent with love.

I graduated from Saceed Heart in the class of 2001. I had Sister Ida Mary for Chemistry Junior year, from 1999-2000.
Her Chemistry class was my favorite! I remember feeling such a sense of wonder as I delved into the microscopic world of reactions, and I felt like I was connecting to the primal engine of creation in doing so. I now recognize, with the added years of adulthood, that this must be how Sister Ida Mary, herself, felt about it.
The motto of the school was "Veritas et Caritas".
I laughingly said to a friend and classmate, not long ago, that that is pretty much the most noble thing there could ever possibly BE -- "truth and caring". She definitely lived out the virtues in that motto.
She once lent me a crucible, a small vessel meant to hold reactants during heating, for a school project that i wanted to carry out. I was trying to synthesize my own rubies, lol.
The rubies, perhaps unsurprisingly, never came into being, and the crucible cracked slightly, so she just had me keep it. I still have it -- a little memento of how things don't always go to plan, but the help and support of good people endures, always.
Rest in peace, Sister Ida Mary. You loved and were loved.

I loved her. I was in her class my senior year. (1966) She sat me right in front of her and in my year book she wrote. I put you in front of me so I could always look up and see someone doing what they were suppose to be doing. lol It made me feel good at the time and I still remember it.
God Bless You Sister......
with Love,

Sister Ida Mary was one of the most kind, genuine people I've known. She taught me how to sew at Camp Mishannock and always made me feel so special and had such a calming presence. At camp I was always running around, reeking havoc, but Sister Ida Mary had a calming effect on me that made me want to behave, listen, and learn, because she was so nice and helpful. Although it's been 15+ years since I've seen her, she will live on in my memories for much longer. Rest in peace.

On behalf of the All Saints Parish family, I offer our prayerful support to the Sisters of Divine Providence and the Lutz family at the loss of Sister Ida Mary. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord. And may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

Not one sparrow goes forgotten before our God or falls to the ground without His knowledge. Certainly He remembers your loved one. I extend my sincere condolences. (Luke 12: 6,7)
