Roger offered me my first job after PC/India (I refused). I was raised in Micronesia, and staff, especially a female, was badly needed in on island training programs. Micronesia experience was hard to find, Roger spent a whole afternoon trying to convince me to return 'home" and work! I was holding out for an India assignemnt which I got. Ironically Ron and I were assigned to PC staff/Micronesia a few years later, where we met many who remembered Roger and the very early days of PC/Micronesia.

I first met Roger when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines, and renewed acquaintances in Malaysia. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known. It was a real delight to reconnect with him in recent years at NPCA events. He will be missed!
