Jacob was one of my history students. He was inquisitive and interested in people and how they lived. He brought a great spirit and energy to the classroom, and it was a privilege to teach and to know him. I am saddened to hear of his passing and am sending my condolences to his family.

We experienced his warm personality one time when we were staying with Allison and Dan. My husband was working at the kitchen table. Jacob came in - had no idea we were there (or even who we were), and was engaging, inviting and warm. (He had all the reason to call the cops!) Allison, Dan and Kayla -- i cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. I am sending you strength - but know there is so much more needed. Much Love, Jill and Francois

I had the pleasure of meeting Jacob in a Project Management course I was teaching at Boston University last spring. He always had a positive outlook, and used his experience in urban development and construction to provide insights into project management topics. I will miss him.

Jacob was my advisee. He was proactive, good natured, and had a clear vision of his educational pursuits. He built his own Interdisciplinary Studies major: Business and Urban Development, and took a blend of courses to accomplish that mastery. He was a joy to work with. I am so sorry to hear of his passing - this is a terrible loss. Sending my condolences to the family - I will miss him.

After such a tragic loss, I hope you can find at least some comfort in knowing that Jacob was very much loved by all of you and that he loved you all in return. I find that a powerful thing to know and to preserve over the years as you think of Jacob.

Jacob was one of my students at the Boston University Metropolitan College two years ago. He was always full of questions, curious about our discussions and readings and was a great student. I am very sorry to read of his death.

My sweet Jacob. I hope you are at peace. I couldn´t have asked for a more loving cousin and our family will miss you terribly. I hope Grandma and Grandpa were there to welcome you with a delicious heavenly meal. I love you
