James Comfort Obituary

Age 77, June 20th, of Tewksbury, formerly of Cambridge. Forever Proud Korean War Army Veteran. Member of Teamsters Union Local # 25. Beloved husband of 54 years to Carolyn D. (Travers) Comfort. Devoted father of Deborah A. McCourt and her husband David of Hopewell, NJ, James A. Comfort, Jr. and his wife Christine of Upton, MA, Glen P. Comfort and his wife Linda of Billerica and Kevin J. Comfort and his wife Joanne of Flemington, NJ. He was the proud and doting grandfather of 11 Grandchildren. Brother of Alice Linehan of Lincoln, RI and Diane Vlasuk and her fianc Wayne Wesson of Danvers, Charles Comfort of Roslindale and William Comfort and his wife Maureen of Londonderry, NH. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Calling hours Sunday from 3-7 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210 are requested.
