Jim-

Thank you for being a dear friend. You were quite special, and you made the world a much better place through your love, kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity, compassion, wisdom, intellect and grace. Your recent health struggles took you away from us, far too soon. Your memory is a cherished and beautiful blessing to all, that had the great privilege and pleasure to know you. My heartfelt and deepest sympathy to your family and loved ones.
You were simply the best!
Rest in Paradise my sweet friend.

So many memories of a friend who shared so much in my life. Meeting in preschool then really beginning our friendship in junior high. Our youth group days were some of the best memories I have with Jimmy. The dances at St. Roberts, the retreats , prom, fun times out driving around Tewksbury and Andover, college parties, deacon at my wedding, visiting when my children were small, and dinners in Boston just to catch up! We had so much fun and boy did we laugh!! He was always there for me and made me laugh with his quick wit. I could talk to him about anything. Even though we were in touch off and on throughout the years it was the kind of friendship that just picked up where it left off. Jimmy will forever be in my heart and thoughts. Rest in peace my dear friend! My prayers go out to his siblings, family and friends.

I remember the very first time I actually hung out with Jim. He was only a year older than I and I had just undergone 2 major back surgeries not long before, but as he was the leader of St. Elizabeth's youth group, we went off to climb Mt. Manadnock. I was struggling, but Jim kept encouraging me and cracking the FUNNIEST jokes! I said, "we should have mass up here!" And Jim's response was, "we'd have a very difficult time keeping the candles lit!" That was his sense of humor! We became great friends, often dining out together and sharing some ridiculously funny banter and more jokes. He was incredible. I remember in 1996 my maternal grandmother had passed away and I went to the Saturday evening service alone. I left just after communion because I was so distraught. He saw me and ran out of the rectory to say hello and I burst into tears and told him what had happened. He hugged me tight and told me that it would be okay. He was so supportive and kind when I truly needed a friend that evening. The last time I saw Jim was 20+ years ago at a friend's wedding and we caught up a bit, bantered as usual and promised to keep in touch. We never did, but I know he was struggling with his own issues and so I let it go. I tried to contact him several years back, but again he was doing a lot of self-reflection and soul searching. I never got to see him again and I really regret that. I hope Jim is finally at peace. I miss you and I hope you never forgot all of the fun we had and the moments we shared. XOXOX
